The Olympic Collection

Track - Running - Men

The technical points noted in the first item apply throughout the collection, so again a stretch hood was part of the design. The average sportsman's hair is kept quite short, but many top athletes have said that modern fabrics have less drag than human skin when moving at high speed. For this reason, many top swimmers and sprinters shave their heads and body hair before important finals, again seeking that split-second edge. And many sprinters on the U.S. men's team actually run in body suits with stretch hoods. The stripes inset enhance the visual aerodynamic effect and and follow the general movement of the body.
